Anna Boscoe

User Experience Content Specialist, cxpartners

Anna is a UX Consultant in the Public Services team, taking a hands-on role in all stages of the research and design process. She specialises in creating user friendly content and helps consultants turn ideas into articles and presentations that convey the complexity of what we do in a clear way.

Her curiosity about human behaviour and societal trends led her to study social and cultural anthropology at university. With her empathetic nature, transitioning into UX more than a decade ago felt like a seamless fit. Before that, Anna worked in marketing and PR, where she honed her skills in crafting stories that resonate with audiences.

Anna’s background in anthropology fuels her passion for ethnographic research. This involves studying people in their everyday lives, observing them and conducting in-depth interviews. Always up for donning a hi-viz jacket, she has contributed to various projects for Bristol City Council using this approach. This work has included conducting research with vulnerable individuals in care homes, examining library usage to determine the future of libraries, analysing bus ticketing patterns, and studying how physical spaces are used by people at customer service points.

Outside of work, Anna channels her creativity into crafting and selling vibrant jewellery from scrap leather, contributing positively to sustainability efforts in the fashion industry.
