Without doubt a highlight of this week was to learn more about the technology ambitions of the Government Property Agency (GPA) directly from the team at the TechUK GPA Technology Strategy event. It was great to be able to join the debate, where we were able to ask questions and discuss the challenges, vision and programmes in depth with the presenters and the wider team.
What is clear is that the GPA has significant growth potential ahead and they have great ambitions not only to improve the working environment and user experience for the civil servants and other users of their estate, but also to make a positive impact on their journey contributing to Net Zero.
Hearing first-hand the importance of sustainability and how central social value is to the approach that the GPA are taking to procurement is reassuring. Here at Sopra Steria, we continue to make significant advances in this area, with an enviable track record in supporting this important requirement in public procurement. Our commitment to reaching Net Zero by 2028 is a core focus for the whole company and one which we’re supporting clients in achieving as well.
During the GPA event, we also explored some common emerging themes that are challenging clients in both the public and private sector. It will take considerable innovation and collaboration to rise to these challenges and achieve the desired transformation.
The team here at Sopra Steria are really looking forward to further engaging with GPA and exploring where we may be able to support their ambitions in the future. We’ll be discussing more about our approach as well as how we’re leading the social value agenda in the UK over the coming weeks, so watch this space.
